How pricing usually works
Family and community mediation is normally priced per person per session. Workplace, employment and commercial mediation is normally priced per party for a half or full day.
Preparation, reading and the written summary should be included in a quoted fee. Ask explicitly if that is not stated.
Comparing routes honestly
The fair comparison is not mediation versus nothing. It is mediation versus the cost, time and uncertainty of the route you would otherwise take.
